hi, this happens to be the only recent movie i can think of when it comes to movies about mesopotamia, the paleolitic/neolithic/stone age, the hanging gardens of babylon.. basically early civilization.
anyone else know any good, recent movie set during or around this time period?
No. Wish I did. I quite enjoy this movie, in a Preposterous Conan the Barbarian kind of way, and would be happy to see more.
There's a Russell Crowe movie coming out about Noah, which was probably caused by a flooding of the Tigris and Euphrates rivers in what is now Iraq, but I have a feeling it's going to be drowned in religiosity. I wish someone would do a flick about Gilgamesh, or other stories from ancient Babylon. It'd be a doddle, now that they CGI is so advanced. Or stories about some of the Pharaohs.
