shareseriously i cant distinguish sometimes those accents and cant either distinguish between an uruguayan or argentinian, or colombian and costa rican.. so take it easy and cut the "stupid moron ignorants american" crap please, it's is just disrespectful and if you would like to educate people the best way would be to past 2 videos from youtube or whatever showing to people talking and mentioning their accents or whatever.

Irish, the north at least is a British accent. The fella with the beard had an English accent. Point to note scottish is also a "British accent", he didn't sound like a jock though did he.
Anyways how anyone can think he sounded Russian or Croat is beyond me, one of his lines was even "have a pint"!
well, I think u r loosing the point with the amerincan ignorance its nothing to do with that or understanding where is an accent from. The point here is that the people who made this film really thought that the audience is stupid and that they can sell KGB people speaking Croatian or Serbian or Bosnian and the main character in ther passport saw they were actually from Kazahstan. So for a movie that the production spent sooo much money in everything (cast and explosions) they could have spent a one more day or few bucks more to get the script right... and I am not even talking about the stupid plot with the Reagan boolit and the guy still in the service having the affair with the first lady. Its just crap. Why are hollywood movies becoming so bad - because they dont spend enough money on developing good scripts. This movie is a total rubbish.

shareI guess technically we weren't told that they were Russian. It's just that the mole says he signed on with the KGB. It's possible that some of the assassins were Croatian.
