why the low ratings?

I absolutely love this movie. I cannot believe the ratings are so low. It is so rare that a movie post 2000 be so honest and so realistic. Well of course European cinema does that usually, too bad that it is not understood amongst IMDB users.

This movie talks about the woman, how she is used, and how she refuses to be used. How she refuses to be objectified, how she refuses to be idolized too.

Men try to make us either virgins or whores, but we are none of that. We have love and we have desire. Melissa is a young woman discovering her own sexuality. She doesn't know what is right, and that is the greatest age, the age you come to terms with yourself. Some of us continue to wonder who we are, whenever a guy makes a fool of us. Melissa is a movie for all ages.

Unfortunately *beep* like twilight is what is on nowadays....
