Is this the BEST one?

As an Atheist i only intend to (maybe) watch this movie as a fantasy & to be honest i read the books with the same attitude. The 1st movie really sucked, (Low budget) & Kirk Cameron's faith obviously played a part in his casting. Poor acting & the abysmal effects made it so i couldn't get through the movie. Maybe if i was a faith-head i could've got passed it? I was reading a review of another "Faith" movie & someone said that THIS was by far the best of the bunch, so i want to give it a go, is there anyone out there that can give me a genuine (secular?) non-partisan opinion of this movie? I hope there's lots of you but some people act like it's dissing Jesus or something unless you endorse these films whatever they're actually like & forget that all i'm asking is their opinion on a movie, not the story it's been adapted from. Thanx! tl;dr Any good....REALLY?

Well, it really all depends on two things: Whether or not you like B-movies and just how anti-religious you are.

The plot of World At War is mostly original and not found in the books. It has a lot of laughable ideas such as the President of the United States suddenly turning into James Bond and sneaking into a secret facility wielding a gun. The Antichrist's method of holocausting the Christians and what ultimately foils it are pretty silly and clichéd as well.

If you are an extremely anti-religious Atheist, what the President does at the climax could potentially be disturbing for you ( let's just say if he was talking about Allah instead of Jesus beforehand, it would be another kind of movie ).

Speaking personally, I definitely think this is the best. It has slightly better production values then the previous two films with more action and explosions and even the acting seems to have improved, even Kirk Cameron's ( possibly because of Craig R. Baxley's good direction ).

I would say give it a chance.

Also, just in case you don't know, they are planning a Left Behind reboot to come out in theaters next year starring Nicolas Cage and Ashley Tisdale ( no joke ) so you can check that one out as well.

Sorry for the late reply & thanx for the heads-up. Nick Cage eh? Possibly some potential for a set of good movies imo. I'm Atheist but i'm a live & let live kind, a "Do no harm" kind, if you will.☮

I'm also an atheist and I own all three movies. I hope the one with Nic Cage is good though, just to get in the face of the Hollywood establishment. World at War is the least bad out of the three. It has big budget (for a Christian movie), decent special effects, and secular actors Louis Gossett Jr. (Roots, An Officer and a Gentleman), and Charles Martin Smith (American Graffiti, The Untouchables). The only problem is that Lou Gossett gives the most ridiculous portrayal of the President of the United States in the history of film.

In one scene he is personally interrogating Buck Williams at gunpoint. In another scene he sneaks into a warehouse and takes part in a shoot out. There are other scenes where he walks around in public without turning a single head. His Secret Service most of the time consists of two people. It's really confusing.

I just watched the Nick Cage version (I really dig Cage btw) but even he couldn't make it work. At least Cameron's are good, bad movies but Cage's had nothing to redeem it (pun intended). The Wicker Man or Left Behind, i'm still not sure which of those two turkeys he should be ashamed of more? Such a shame to have those films in a resumé, maybe he had some bills to pay?😀 Lastly, the funniest (& least appropriate) part was the "Dwarf tossing" at the end....literally a coke from the nose moment!😂
