I can't decide if I like this movie or not....
Even though I watched it through to the end, I couldn't help thinking about switching it off.
It had potential to be a great movie but never actually got there in my opinion.
Should have watched Predator on tv instead....
Probably I don't see enough dark crime thrillers...but this holds its own hands down...a tour de France (yeah i'm a big krautrock fan) of script and performance from Jane, ole deformo face Rourke (oy what was he thinking) and of course Gordon-Levitt who since Turd Rock can do no wrong. Who gives a flying *beep* about the plot holes...minimal compared to other movies that are far more overrated.. I don't get out much but I love this flick. Keeps ya engaged and bears a second or third viewing.
So...Here goes...an underrated gem! There I said it.
I'll even call it a cool date movie! (If you have a cool girlfriend!)
It's got the two distinctive elements... The "murder for hire" plot and the "love on the rocks" plot! Pretty neat.
