If the pill worked correctly wouldn't he have still been happy?

Maybe it's just me, but it seemed like the main character was a lot happier when he was straight, and the reason he was having problems with that blond girl is because the pill stopped working and he had no sexuality anymore. Everyone here keeps mentioning that he wasn't happy when straight, but it seems to me that if the pill continued to work he would have been fine. Granted, if there was a pill that worked I probably would have taken it as well, so maybe the way I saw the movie was just me projecting my own issues?

The pill is a metaphor. In real life, there's no such thing as a pill that will turn you straight, and the movie is saying that gay people who try to fight their true nature will always wind up losing that battle in the end. Sounds like a lesson you need to learn.

Aww shucks LOL. I think I've learned it by now, actually. But still, I'm just saying, if that pill HAD actually worked, I still think he would have been happy. Just saying.
