Low budget crap

couldn't believe how crappy the picture was on this. what the hell was it shot on, 8mm? it looks like bad video. i was p**ssed off i paid money to rent it. it's not the worst but it's really bad.

reply

and on top of that, I'd like to add it's not even really a horror movie. It's a lame drama.

A hair above the unwatchable Wicked little Things, but almost just as horribly BAD.

reply

can you imagine how bad the actors were that were cut at auditions? These people were'nt even trying.

reply

You people who immature people who don't understand drama. Go back to watching cartoons. IQ's of you all = 89 total (the bunch of you).

reply

Give me a break.
I don't think you need an IQ to watch this movie.

You have to be dumb, stupid, and blind to appreciate it.

It's total unredeemable CRAP.

I'm so pissed I shelled out money for it.

reply

It was a snore for me also, as was Dark Ride, two of "The 8 Movies To Die For" (a series that I have given up on).

I wanted to slap Francis... "Wake UP! Do something you WOOS boy!"

I thought the movie could have been good, but the bad acting just made it crap. The overall idea for the film was interesting, but because of the low buget and bad acting, it just didn't get the emotions and such across.

On a side note, what was the deal with the twins? I get everything else in the movie except their relaitonship.

reply

Don't try to figure it out, it's too stupid.
It was a snore like most of these dumb low budget horror movies, but this one was particularly awful and it looked terrible too. They must of had zero dollars to make this crap.

reply

There was some really good acting to go along with the bad stuff, and some of the cinematography - especially towards the end - was amazing. Also the fact that it was attempting something unique, being a drama rather than another cliched horror flick, is commendable. And although they're kind of douchebaggy for calling themselves the Butcher Brothers, I think the writer/director duo showed some real promise with the camera work, in a kind of modernized Evil Dead kind of way. It's really tough to make a movie with only one principle location but they held their own. Good movie for people who can appreciate low budget filmmaking, not a good movie fod people who want their movies overproduced and cliched.

reply

I don't remember any good acting in this movie. Nobody even tried to act in this movie. For someone who loves to watch B grade horror movies, it certainly takes exceptionally poor acting to make me fall asleep. Only the social worker probably deserves a little bit of mention but he was dumb as well.

I'd make Psycho.

It's already been done with 3 sequels and a crappy remake. Come up with an actual original thought, please. Unless you were joking, if that were the case, sorry I took you so literally. Its hard to pick up sarcasm on a message board.

LOL...I'm a moron sorry. I wouldn't have been surprised if you weren't joking. On the Halloween remake message board there was a lad who was writing a SEQUEL to the Halloween remake. He apparently wrote a 700 page screenplay in 2 weeks. I'm thinking he copied the original Halloween 2 screenplay.

believe it or not, Psycho 3 is better than this junk.

(sorry to say!)

...shut up!!

I had fun watching it, but i'm baffled as to what genre this movie actually is, i found the most obvious was the black comedy aspect of it. But that was only after it had finished, i considered it to be a thriller/horror until i saw the ending. Anyway, not low budget crap, watch the 'scarecrow' trilogy and you'll know what low budget crap is. And the first of those films probably had a bigger budget than this!

reply

That's just it. When this movie was over, I was like, "Okay, so what."

I mean, nothing happened. It was just blah.

Eh..it wasn't bad. THe actors were pretty bad, and the camera shaking was very annoying, but what do you expect from a low budget movie?
I'd give it a six out of ten. :P

Well, it is low budget, amateurish, and not very good, but it's not absolutely horrible neither.
