Why did the twins act like this?

Why were they so close? Cuddling with each other on the chair, putting their arms around each other as they walked away, and making out by the bathtub when it wasn't even a dare? And wasn't David freaked out/wondering why they were cuddling so close on the couch when he walked in to talk to them? I know twins are close, but surely David could see that they were EXTRA close?

Given what they were, the chances that they'd have any kind of a stable relationship---even a relationship that simply didn't end in murder---were slim indeed. They knew this, and rather than follow the route of brother David, they turned to each other for sex (although obviously not exclusively). Besides, when you break the laws of God and man constantly just to survive, and when you're unnecessarily cruel and sadistic besides, incest seems like small potatoes.

I think twins by nature are very close and they had a very intimate connection. Add to the fact vampires are born and not made I think Incest is implied with the species.
