So out of place and also "glaring", as if from a serious drama. I mean, did the actor really need to clench his butt and did we need about 3 of these "lingering" scenes?

Just so out of place for this movie.

I suppose that some would say that, because of some apparent decisions to make Scotty "overly weird and clueless and annoying", these scenes somehow how make him more human and that they help convey his lonely life and lack of human intimacy in his life. But they these scenes are filmed, it's just really creepy. They'd be more at home in a film like Gummo given their tone.

yeah, actually, you did need all three of these scenes, or the ending doesn't work at all.

that he clenches up, well, that's a fine actor paying attention to detail. 😂

that you find them a bit creepy, isn't that scotty in a nutshell? (so to speak)

and if you think that westby goes over the top with these scenes, you haven't seen what he does in "rid of me"!
