He murdered before? 115? Who was his visitor?

Why was Edmond writing to the woman about her daughter, whom he had gone to the prom with? I expected that he was going to confess in the letter that he killed her, but was interrupted by the prison guard, who came to tell him he had a vistor.

And who might his visitor haven been, when he told the guard to tell them he was sick?

Finally, what was the significance of his prison cell number, 115?

1:15 was the time written on the note at the beginning of the movie...the time for his rescheduled meeting.

115 is also the number on the storefront for the tarot card reader.

I don't think it is important who the visitor was. I think the importance was that Edmond didn't want to see his visitor, meaning he felt content and at home in prison and didn't want anything to do with the outside world. He finally found himself while in prison.

Edmond was just apologizing to people for wrongs that he felt that he might have committed. I haven't watched the movie in awhile, so I may be mistaken about this, but I think that he mentioned feeling that he might have pressured the woman's daughter into going out with him. But like I said, the movie isn't fresh in my head.
