I agree with you. I even slightly prefer her performance over Hudson's.

I'm no big fan of hers but I still thought she was just fine in this movie. Everyone was!

I didn’t care for the movie and am not a Beyoncé fan but I thought she, along with Eddie Murphy, gave the most tolerable performance in the film.
