FINALLY ON DVD

Picked it up at Wal-Mart today for 15.00

Widescreen & deleted scenes

***edit:
I should have saved my 15.00

I have been waiting for 2 years to finally see this, being a big fan of Ali Larter. The acting was good, but the movie was really bad. Poor script, poor editing, and some really REALLY bad choices for portrayals of well-known artists (the worst Elvis since Don Johnson).

I gave this 4 out of 10 stars, only because of the main actors.

By the way, future makers of films set in Nashville, TN....there are no palm trees in Nashville (the wedding scene).

Luckily, I didn't wait for 2 years (I'd be pissssed). I just saw this film on my pay-TV menu, and rented it - almost wish I hadn't...

I agree with you about the BAD casting choices! I was expecting to be transported to 50s - 60s backstage rock-n-roll -- as with "Walk the Line" and "Cadillac Records". And, I hoped I'd see more of the excellence that hot Waylon Payne showed us as Jerry Lee Lewis in "Walk the Line" - and the excellence shown by all the rest of that goodly cast...

But, what a let-down, eh? Especially that Elvis!! It was like the real actor didn't show up, so they rounded up some barroom karaoke dude... My uncle does a better Elvis... Probably everybody's uncle does a better Elvis.

Cheers.
