Fans of Both Evans & Eve,But This Movie Is Epic Waste of Time and Money

Rented it yesterday on Time Warner for 9.99.
What a pointless bore. What a waste of talented people's time, and the viewers.
Reminds me of another worthless rental, Cobie Smulders Results.
It's a similar Independent movie with a terrible script and mostly worthless dialogue.
I rented this primarily because of Alice Eve, who while had a great lead role in She's Out of My League, since then has had trouble finding good parts.
The gritty Cold Comes The Night is her best part other than the rom-com Out of My League.
Why an actress with genuine acting ability and classic blonde good looks can't get good roles is a mystery to me.

Perhaps she isn't sleeping with the right people. Perhaps her idea of the right role is different than yours. Perhaps she just takes roles that make her happy and doesn't care about what any of us think. Maybe Jupiter and Saturn are gaseous farts the sun expelled after eating some bad Mexican food, we just don't know.

I rather liked the movie, but I'm a sucker for this kind of film so what do I know. I'll have to see if Cold Comes the Night is worth a watch though, so thanks for naming it.

You may not have liked it but it was still a pretty nice little movie, albeit a little slow.

Regarding synthgod2's comment about Alice Eve's appearance: She actually doesn't have classic blond good looks. Her blond hair is fake. Look at how dark her eyebrows are: that's the real color of her hair. So we can say that she has classic brunette good looks.

Some people might say, "Well, when she colors her hair blond, then she has classic blond good looks". That's like saying "When Al Jolson put on blackface makeup, then he had classic African-American good looks". Not cool.

Disagree. While her eyebrows look dark in the photo on her IMDB page,
these photos show her natural hair color: dark blonde http://hairdiy.net/alice-eve-hair-color/

synthgod2: In the photos you gave the link to, Alice Eve's eyebrows appear medium to dark brown, the same shade (or shades) as the surprisingly visible roots of her head hair.

To the extent that "dark blond" is a useful term at all, it should be reserved for a color that's lighter than light brown.

I don't know what your deal is, but as someone who is 25% southern Italian, I have brown hair, brown eyes, and rather thick dark eyebrows. My eyebrows actually look black, while my hair is brown.
So gorgeous blonde Alice Eve has dark eyebrows, she's a blonde.
If you want to know what a dark blonde is, look at the profile photo of Daniel Craig, the blonde James Bond. It's rather dark.

Why on Earth would someone like you rent any film that didn't have cgi on the poster? This was a character piece and played brilliantly in a very enjoyable simple slice of life story.
