So....

I watched this with my girlfriend last night and she is still pissed about the ending. She wants to know why they didn't show the back of the card?

A film doesn't have to give in to your needs. I think it was probably a drawing though. Or maybe information to get in touch.

I'm annoyed by it too! I'm hoping that it's is contact information.

The ending was a bit of a let down. But I think the purpose was to allow her to hold on to her marriage. That seemed like a big message they wanted to convey. It would have been easier to have her turn around, not get on the bus, and run back to Nick. It's actually refreshing to see a movie couple ultimately do what's morally right.

It's morally right to go back to a cheater?

It's morally right to finish the marriage the right way. Going back and having it out with the husband to figure out if it can be saved rather than running and hiding. She still loved the husband and it sounded like he ended the affair, apologized, and turned his back on the mistress. I'm not saying it's okay he cheated, but cheating isn't necessarily the end of a marriage.

Nick needs to get his life moving as well. Now he wants his music because he wants it, not because the ex wanted it for him. He needs time to do that and not jumping into a relationship before they settle their issues from their previous lives.

I know it can be frustrating but they do that on purpose. It's to make the viewer interpret their own ending on how they thought the movie should end. Like the movie Lost in Translation.
