Question about Martin Freeman/Black Female Character...

I can't find this movie on any streaming outlets or any premiums channels, but I have a vague memory of seeing some scene with Martin Freeman confronting his black female girlfriend while she's on a date with a black guy...maybe she dumped him beforehand, I can't really remember.

Can anyone provide me with the specifics of what was going on in that moment, and how their characters ended? [Most spoilers for the movie focus solely on the Law/Binoche/Wright characters and barely mention Freeman.]
