Hi guys.
Anyone have an idea when this film comes out on dvd. I fit was released in France in October. I would have thought they'd have released a DVD version of it - even if only in France.
I really wanna see it and can't get hold of it anywhere.
Any help much appreciated.

its out on dvd. its already been ripped to xvid and put on the web. LOL...funny how these things show up on the web before they even get to Amazom.
good movie, imo...well worth watching regardless which side of the issue you are on.

I went to the site TF1.com and I put in the director Eli Chouruqui. It is on dvd but it seems like it is in very selected shops. I can't read French but it looks like it has French subtitles and is also dubbed in French, which is no good to most people. But saying this it might well have English subtitles or have a way of taking off the dubbed audio. Either way it sounds like a work up and far from reach just yet. I was an extra in the film and have been waiting for news of it's dvd release, but I'll hit the amazon link to see what that says.

I really have no idea when this will be made available in the USA. I read the book many years ago and if I can recall well, it was well researched and gave a fair description of the events prior, during and leading the establishment of the state of Israel in 1948. The authors also wrote "Is Paris Burning?" -- the question Hitler asked the general who was given orders to destroy Paris before the Allies could reach it. We all know that this general did not follow Hitler's orders to destroy Paris. But I digress. Sorry!
I do hope they will make O, Jerusalem available soon. I will let you know as soon as I get info regarding this.

Yes, it is most certainly based on the book. Operative words "based on ", but if you read some of the reviews, doesn't follow the book nearly as closely and as accurately as it should. But then most movie versions of books usually don't follow the original all that well.

shareThere's a French and an Italian DVD already available, and apparently O Jerusalem will also be released on DVD in the U.S. in May 2009. It's available for preorder in several online stores.
