The problem I have with this film is the cliches (spoilers)

Don't get me wrong, I realize this is a mindless horror film, and I enjoyed it for its simplicity. However, I don't understand why these writers/directors nowadays continue to promote such ridiculous horror cliches. The one that stands out to me with this film was the ol' "I'll stab the bad guy, then drop my weapon and run away" bit. I mean, am I the only one who would finish these people off AND keep my weapon? The girl beats the one orderly guy to death (finally), but a lot of the running and chasing could have been avoided by finishing these people off when she had the chance. Apparently, by the doctor waking up in the last scene, it shows that she hasn't learned anything. These types of cliches just bother me, especially in horrors that have been made in the last ten years or so, and directly influences how good a movie is.

It's because of the similar observations as well as some other reasons this film is junk. These cliches are incredibly annoying because they take away from the plot and any believability. The movie becomes focused not on the core plot it might have began with but turns into a comedy or errors.
There are so many in this film that I don't even feel it is worth writing about them. I mean why not make it a hospitals hat might be run by professional doctors who actually do things discretely and skillfully? Why did the director have to fill every hallway with the absurd cliche green flood lights?

By the way, did you notice that many of the hospital's hallways in the background are fake green screen filler? The small claustrophobic places are real rooms of course, but whenever they show a long hallway in background it is actually a green screen. You can tell by the outline of the white coats in a few shots. Gosh, couldn't they have rented a real floor in one of the country's thousands of hospitals? Lol

Hello Everyone,

The major problem I had with it was the over the top gore. It was like SAW/Hostel in the same film. I love horror and I can deal with some gore, but spare me on some of those scenes. This movie had a potential to be half way decent. I gave it 5 because some of it was just plain gross. That's why I have a problem with today's horror, bad acting, poor plot, and too much gore. Please can we return to the days of Friday's the 13th, Amityville, Nightmare. In those movies you got the whole enchilada, a good plot, acting and scares w/o unnecessary gore. I think I understand why Robert Patrick and Jeannette Goldstien were in this movie; for the money.
