The new dragons

It'll be interesting to see how this pans out without Bannatyne. So far it doesn't seem a lot different, but struggling to keep my attention from Sarah Willingham's legs whenever they're in shot!

Also, anyone else thought Harry Enfield had joined playing in character as Theo Paphitis?!

reply

I swear, someone has been doing some chemistry and bonded Theo and Duncan together as.... Touker Suleyman lol.

I can't be the only one thinking that, even the way he came across reminded me of Duncan at times..

Seems strange so many new faces but it's alright I guess, I'm just not a fan of how they seem to be introducing the sob story more and dramatizing it.

Yes, good point! He does look like quite a cross of those two, brilliant :D

He actually seems likeable (just going by that first episode anyway), so to me perhaps not as brutal as Duncan, and bit more like the only other 'nice' one, James Caan.

Was wondering if the sob story aspects were just in this particular one, though it seems more than a coincidence with two different teary sessions. I'm hoping it doesn't go all X Factor, yuk!

reply

Yeah, he seems like a nice guy, all the new ones seem rather pleasant, which might not go so well as it was nice to have a bit of push and pull between them like with Duncan being brutal or straight forward as you say.

Yeah, hoping it doesn't go down that route, maybe they feel they need it to 'entice' people to watch it, time shall tell!

Touker Suleyman is being played by Harry Enfield

So after seeing the first two episodes, I quite like the new dragons! Seem to bring some personality and energy.

Kellie and Piers were devoid of any personality.

What is that thing you're using?.... It's technical.

The new dragons are great, with the exception of Sarah, who seems out of her depth. Some great sideways looks from peter and Deb.

She does indeed. Her net worth is supposed to be like 3M pound sterling max. Take away her assets and business interests, that doesnt leave you with much liquidity. You´d be sweating way too many investments with only that amount of money. Compared to say Peter Jones who wouldnt bat an eyelid over losing 100k pounds...
