I think someone who should have been approached to do Dennis Quaid's role is Harrison Ford.
I could see Harrison Ford pulling off something like this. Also, it would have made the film more "high-profile" with him in it, and it probably would have got more publicity.
Ford would had played the part as a curmudgeon.

Funny, I was thinking 'Harrison Ford' when Quaid told the car owner to get lost, something like that, how it came out in Ford's voice. But I think Quaid was better, Ford would've been too old.
