A dvd release?
Does anyone know where I can buy this on dvd?
I REALLLLY want to see this but cant get a hold on it.

Yes, why aren't we allowed to see this? CDJapan has the film (with this synopsis: "A writer moves into the country to avoid the bustle of Tokyo, but at her new home she finds that a ravishing older man living in the dillapidated laboratory across from her home is investigating a 1000 year old mummy. She becomes entranced with the man, only to discover that both the mummy and the man have secrets!"), but unsubtitled. CDJ also, for what it's worth, offers a Loft soundtrack album.
My local Asian and general film fesivals and the Pacific Film Archive ignored or couldn't get it.
Is Lionsgate sitting on this one like it did for so long Kurosawa's subsequent film Sakebi???
If it is Lionsgate, how would we find out? And would a couple of letters prompt them to move on it?

Full-frame dvd edition w/ English subs now available from hkflix.com. It is a Malaysian import. Inexpensive, but may not have the highest quality image and sound. Reviewed in latest VIDEO WATCHDOG.
I also recommend the Malaysian import (available on Ebay and YesAsia as well). The video/audio quality isn't as good as the Japanese unsubbed version, but it's more than adequate.
