Do people really behave like that in Japan?

Just saw the movie and I must say that I like its offbeat style. I also noticed in the movie the characters treated each others with the upmost rudeness and contempt. For example, in the early part of the movie we get to see one guy slapping an innocent cable-man senseless right out of the blue, and the cable guy just stood there and take it as thuo nothing has happened? Also, co-worker inflicts bodily injuries to another co-worker on purpose without fear of lawsuit. What I trying to say is that I am shocked by the lack of respects the Japanese treated each others in this movie.

You should see some more american movies. They kick each other senseless in most Hollywood-movies...

nope, living locally for a year and a half there it was nothing but utmost curtisy. Of course every culture has its ruffians and holligans japan being no exception.

u need to get out there in the world.
u sound lost and ignorant..

reply

LOL Ofcourse they behave like that in the real world... Don't you know this was a documentary :D

reply

Yes, and Godzilla really destroyed Tokyo :D

Bullying is just as common there as it is everywhere else in the world. Especially in slum-type areas like the location of this film. Also it'd just be too costly to sue a co-construction worker(and hard to prove, even with witnesses). But yeah, japanese have their sociopaths too, it's not simply restricted to us rednecks haha.

Hey man you're right. Everything in all movies is real. Real life isn't ever as real as movies. Movies are 103.45% real

You also have to remeber that this guy was a gang leader and obviously alot more violent then the average person
