New Adaptation Already?

Does anyone else find it a little odd that they are already making another adaptation? The last Midsummer Night's Dream came out in 1999. Unless this is being made primarily for a Spanish audience or is in fact being made as an animation it seems strange to make, yet, another one. Generally filmmakers wait at least a decade or two to start making new versions.

What is with this remaking and newly adapted stuff? There is going to be a new Beowolf and then there was the whole making two Alexander the Greats. The madness...

Well, in fact this is a 3D animation film vaguely inspired by the Shakespeare drama, the names of the characters are the same but the plot develops freely, and it's mainly aimed at a child audience... It was released in Spain yesterday.
