So Excited!!

i am very much looking forward to this new adaptation of this shakespeare play

im just reading over the list of names and it covers my skins with goosebumps just thinking about it

toby stephens, miranda richardson, and bernard hill to name a frw
so many good actors that i hope this will satisfy my shakespeare lust, lol

but just wanted to get my enthusiasm down as i see no one else has posted her yet

i wonder if it will be released in canada, as it seems mostly a british film
oh well, i might have to wait until its released for home viewing :)

It is my favourite shakespeare play, and I have seen several incarnations of it. So, good play, impressive looking cast, and a new medium for it as far as I can recall... but I mislike this trailer. Something about the premise strikes a wrong cord already, and the animation doesn't look terribly up to scratch. I WAS excited but now I don't hold much hope for it.

I'm excited to see Rhys Ifans in something Shakespearean, but I was dissappointed to see it's animated and that it's directed toward kids.

reply

I'd see it for Rhys and Billy Boyd too. But now that I know its a kids animation ... aw well. I'd still want to see it.

As long as Boyd and Ifans have their real voices, i'll be a happ happy fangirl XD. *spots a deviantart siggy and runs off to look*

Well I just saw it and I cannot understand why where you so excited. The CGI is frankly primitive, basically with the same level of detail than Pixar productions from the early 90's. It looks like a low-budget movie, which it is.
If at least the story would be interesting, but it isn't. It's dull and clichéd, the characters are flat, uninteresting and as one-dimensional as they were drawn.
At least is more enjoyable than that lame excuse for a CGI movie called "Donkey Xote", another of Spain's shameless CGI flicks.
