I am very interested in viewing this film, but have not been able to find it anywhere. And for some reason I doubt it is likely to come to my local Blockbuster any time soon.
Does anyone know how I can see it? If I wait a while, will it likely be available to buy anywhere?

Go in english and see the trailer. I don´t find anyone other thing to see all film, only this.
Do you find something in the net or other p2p program like emule?
The latest I heard (as of April) was that the filmmakers are in the process of looking for a DVD distributor. The film will air, however, sometime in August on HBO and/or Cinemax.

I have been searching for the announced Children of Leningradsky DVD for a long time as well, and decided to e-mail the filmmaker (Hanna Polak) herself (you can actually do this from the film's website). I received the following reply:
"We are working right now on North America distribution of the DVD. It is just hard to find the producer and DVD distributor for short films. Our movie is 35 min. long. Still we are preparing DVD for Europe, but the North American one would be sooner."
It is a shame that these important films aren't given a decent release. It's pretty much impossible to get the chance to see this film if you're without HBO or Canal+ in Europe. :(
Its comming on one of the cinemax's, 555 i think, at 10:25pm eastern time on September 4th
If you want to check up on upcomming showings, go to hbo.com and type it into the search bar, then click the first one and the schedule tab...i saw the last half of this documentery back in march and absolutly loved it, been looking at hbo.com about once a week since then...will definatly be bying this when it comes out
