i don't get how Beowulf kill the dragon..
he cut his hand ?
then before, with the sword, he can't reach the dragon's heart, somehow he can do it with just bare hand ?
it's a great movie. but this one thing bothers me.

If i remember, he cut his arm so he would be hanging (he didnt fall because of his chain mail armor) and now he could reach the dragons heart
shareI think he cut some tendons in his arm so that he could reach farther to the dragon's heart. I don't know a whole lot about anatomy, though, so don't quote me there.

Note how he inserts his blade at the armpit. In effect he's severing his arm at the shoulder which gives him enough slack to reach the heart. As noted about the chain mail keeps him from faling away.
shareI could be wrong but I think he even tries once with the sword after cutting the tendons in his arm but he still can't quite make it. Then he drops the sword and, if I remember correctly, by some miracle manages to just reach right in and grab the dragons heart, even though he couldn't reach with a sword like 12 seconds before.
Could be wrong though. He might not try with the sword after dealing with his shoulder.
I just watched it. I think he could not reach it with sword, then cut his arm off and when he tried to reach it the next time with the sword something knocked the sword out of his hand, then he went in and got it with his bare hand.

Then, he see’s the Queen and his Bed Warmer in more trouble and takes an extra big swing this time. End result, he rips the beast black heart out. Great movie. The End.
