I've only been playing this a few days (I'm about to take out the Ace of Clubs) but I have a question.

You know those bunker things where the troops continually are emerging from - can you destroy those with air strikes/artillery?

I keep coming across them and continually shooting the troops/vehicles as they come out - but there is a never-ending supply. I don't want to waste an air strike if I can't destroy them.

Also, I keep finding big crates of ammo with what look like rockets or shells on the side (with a little ammo icon above it). I can't bash them open or blow them up. What is their purpose? Or haven't I got that far yet?

Any answers much appreciated.

Bunkers are taken out with Bunker Buster airstrikes..

and

The big ammo crates are Vehicle Ammo (for the ground vehicles and helicopter).

If you mean the small bunkers, you can destroy them with your RPG or C4. However, it takes 3 C4 charges to bring em down. I think it takes about 5 shots from the RPG to bring one down.

What good is mining nose gold if you can't share it with the townspeople?

When you get to General Song DO NOT KILL HIM because if you take him down the AA guns will shoot themselves so you could easily call in for extraction but I always kill him because I just blow through the game in like a few hours.
