Stop comparing it to Mythbusters!!!

i saw the episode of myth busters where they were shooting frozen and raw chicken carcasses at panes of glass to test balistics. then the part where they were testing flexibility and resonance damage of bridges. ok, fair enough, all sorts in the world.

i then watch braniac, have only missed one episode because i had things outside of my control and channel 10 seem to broadcast out of order...

but when i was doing year 11 science in high school, the instructor showed us the promise of potassium in water...brainiac in all of its infinite wisdom, showed alkali metals.

"tell me john, what is the effect we can expect?" "imagine a depth charge being let off in a bathtub" RUBIDIUM in WATER... say no more.

Brainiac is indeed the abuse of science, but if you want to take it seriously, factually prove every or at least most permutations of an experiment (and attempt to not go mad) and ultimately wander off the face of the earth, then go ahead.

i personally just cannot get enough of this and my vote has been added to the front comment. two flaming thumbs blown up!

I agree, these shows are in different genres. Brainiac is a comedy show and Mythbusters is more serious. They both are good in their own categories.

In that case it's an utter failure, because it's a lot like Mythbusters. In fact, they were until recently the only shows in their own genre.
