I totally agree with you on that Vic Reeves isn't very funny at all, but I don't think bringing Hammond back would help. In the end of the final series he was in, the show was a bit silly, with Gimmicky sketches like "Braniac for a day", which were pretty annoying. I just think they should go back to doing experiments rather than "comedy" sketches.
