I really wanted smallweeds to die horribly. Knocked over a oil lamp with no attendant or attacked and torn apart by rabid dogs. I hated him so much.
Yes you are the only one. It is uncompromising men of business like Tulkinghorn, Smallweed and Vholes who have made the world what it is today.

Actually when so many people had a motive to kill him. I think they all gathered (more then three) out front of his house and the person who pulled the short straw got to shoot him. Shocked there wasn’t dancing in the street when it was reported he was dead. Vholes was a low level crook who put his self interest above his client. Not even in the same league as Tulkinghorn. Tulkinghorn actively looked for ways to strengthen his position and used sublime blackmail.
