Had a good laugh
This film is only good as a collection of gags and images of nude Pataky.
There are things that happen with no reason (the sudden change of mood of Maruja is best example), the flow of time is inexistent (you only notice that time goes by because characters say so once or twice), and many situations are absurd (a month with an ankle bruise without visiting the doctor?). HipĆ³lito comes from the theater world and every time the camera gets him a little close (like the stairs scene) he looks as unexpresive as Keanu Reeves.
On the other hand, the collection of charicaturesque characters is large. Once you accept them as parodies of archetypical people from the Spanish sixties/seventies, they can be hilarious. All of them have glorious moments: the father, the sad friend, the mother, the priest... This was the film that made me laugh the most this year.
And Elsa Pataky is just gorgeous in this film.
