no...she wasn't. she was lip syncing...it was quite obvious.
But, the original singer of the song is a great singer and i love the song.
My next goal is to find out who sang the song so I can get a hold of that song.

She completely overacted that part. But other that, great performance!

Disagree - I don't think she over-acted anywhere in the film. Flawless performance throughout.

Otherwise, I quite liked the film. But, the obvious lip-syncing of the song seemed really fake... Or, was it meant to signify something?

I'm surprised to find out it was not Penelope. It looked quite authentic to me. And I'm a singer.

Perhaps it was because I had headphones on and watching on Netflix but every time Cruz 'sang' it was incredibly obvious that it was dubbed.

I watched it on TV and it was still obvious. The voice is so different to Penelope's
