There is NO timeline!

Got it?! There is no timeline of any kind! End of story! It's Zelda, not friggin' Final Fantasy, it's not supposed to be continuous!

Windwaker directly states that it takes place hundred of years after Ocarina of Time. And in Twilight Princess we visit the Temple of Time. So there.

So what are you saying?
Ofcourse they can use some similar characters, items, locations or even the same formula, but the Zelda games are completly independant. Except the sequels:

- Link's Awakening following A Link to the Past
- The Adventure of Link following Zelda 1 (The Legend of Zelda)
- Majora's Mask following Ocarina of Time
- Phantom Hourglass following The Wind Waker

You say "There is no timeline"
I say "Wind Waker directly states that it takes place after Ocarina of Time".

That is the definition of timeline: That something follows something else.

In any case, Miyamoto has said that there is a timeline. And who are we to disagree with the bloody creator and producer of the series.

"It's Zelda, not friggin' Final Fantasy"

Are you trying to tell me Final Fantasy DOES have a timeline?

There is a timeline.. Many actually think they solved it. ME personally, forget it. Not even gonna bother. BEsides, there are two time lines. Zelda splits the time line at the end of OoT. The most I could solve was:

OoT - WW

OoT - MM
