Zelda Twilight Princess sequel possible in 2008?

Majora's Mask, the sequel to Ocarina of Time, came out in 2000, two years after the original's release. Maybe Nintendo will release a sequel late this year to the Twilight Princess?

...was three or 4 years in development and testing before it came out. With Phantom Hourglass out last year the next game is likely to be a couple of years coming to Wii.

The point of the Zelda franchise is that as Link you travel around unlocking areas with special equipment then explore a dungeon. That's what we expect from the game.

I thought TP was a great game. one of the best. I think the majority of people who have played it would give it a thumbs up.

Which one of the series did you like the best bahometh?

" i guess for simple minded people like you it was. "

Pray tell, if we liked the game, how does that make us simple minded? Please actually know what in the hell your talking about before you do. Also refrain from calling anyway else simple minded until you fix your horrendous writing and grammar. As your on this board I'm going to assume your at least past third grade aren't you?

Actually simple minded would be calling someone simple minded because they like a, in their, and my, opinion, an awesome Zelda game. Again, pray tell what was so mediocre about this game?

I too would like to see a sequel to this game. Although it is highly unlikely that will happen, I don't think it is completely out of the realm of possibility. WARNING: WHAT I'M ABOUT TO TYPE IS A SPOILER FROM THE END OF THE GAME!! IF YOU HAVEN'T PLAYED TWILIGHT PRINCESS YET AND ARE PLANNING ON GETTING IT, DO NOT CONTINUE READING THIS POST!!

Even though Midna destroyed the Mirror of Twilight at the end, which is supposed to be the only known link between the world of light and the Twilight Realm, it is as just stated the only KNOWN link between the two worlds. So if the fans were screaming for a sequel and the Japanese were business-savvy and took notice of Twilight Princess's success, they could create a few ideas as to how they could bring back Midna and the Twilight Realm. That would be awesome!! Midna was my favorite character from that game. In fact, she was my favorite character in the whole series so far!

I wouldn't mind a sequel, or an entirely new game. Heck, I wouldn't mind a Wind Waker styled game for the Wii. Anything Zelda will do it for me, as long as it's awesomely good of course. :) which it will be, because Zelda rocks.

Is that video for real??? It looks a little suspicious :/

I agree that Twilight Princess was a little dissapointing. Don't get me wrong, it's a great game. Easily one of the best so far on the Wii. What I didn't like is that it lacked the originality of previous Zelda's. The controls were almost untouched. Same items, same puzzles, same enemies. It did have all the characteristics of a Zelda game. Ocarina of Time, to be specific. Miyamoto has said himself that Zelda needs some major changes to keep the series alive, and that Twilight Princess would be the last Zelda in it's current incarnation. I heard the Zelda team was experimenting with a first person engine. Whatever they do I know it'll turn out great.

(not sure if anyone mentioned this) but the next zelda game is probably taking place in between TP and WW, it's going to be a major departure to what we're comfortable with and understand and it should probably be alot more dramatic, tear jerking, gut wrenching, all that fun stuff. The game will probably center on a feeling of no hope because we all know what happened eventually in WW.

Analysts suggest a new addition to the franchise for the Wii late 09.

In the modern age of Zelda (modern being OoT and on...) each of the main platform games got a sequel.

Ocarina of Time got Majora's Mask
Windwaker got Phantom Hourglass

It's not completely absurd for Twilight Princess to get a sequel as well, it just might be a few years before we see it. And don't get your hopes up about Midna or any of the Twili people.
