I stopped playing this game after the City in the Sky

I have not bothered to finish this temple since Summer '07, I believe. I play this game only to ride Epona around Hyrule now. But I'm hoping to beat that *beep* temple. I just can't. Anyone have the same problem?

City in the Sky is, by far, the most frustration I've had in a Zelda game...I don't know if it's its design or what, but my god...I hated that temple. Use a walkthrough...ign has a decent one. The ending is decent, and the Ganon battle is a lot of fun, and quite epic in proportions. But yeah, City in the Sky is just awful. Everyone complains about the Yeti's house, but that one was enjoyable for me. I suppose there's some masochistic folks out there who have fun with City in the Sky...though I have yet to meet one. So use a walkthrough. It's worth it in the long run.

The best walkthrough is the one on youtube by nexgenwalkthroughs. I personally didn't mind City in the Sky but I did hate the water temple.

Edit: My opinion has changed. Though Lakebed Temple isn't the best, it's pretty fun. Arbiter's Grounds and Hyrule Castle are my favourites.

I disliked city in the sky purely as I found it a disappointment. The build up to discovering it was great, the reference to a people who live in the clouds. It sounded so mysterious and I couldnt wait expecting something epic.

But when I saw the little bird men, it was a bit disappointing. It went from being a quite dark zelda in to something a bit kiddy, which normally I don't mind but it seemed so promising!

I did beat this level, FINALLY, but not without hours of frustration! I went on and beat the game. I started to replay the game again last year, on my cousin's Wii (I don't have a Wii, and since I don't, I own the Gamecube version.) but stopped playing after I couldn't complete the ice block puzzle in the Yeti's house. I just haven't had the desire to go back and play again yet.

I have only played the City in the Sky through the one time, and I don't know if I want to play it again. It was just THAT bad. I complain about water dungeons all the time because I hate them so much, but not to the point that I'd never play again. I hate the City in the Sky about that much. I didn't like the Ocoocos (I have no idea how to spell that lol) either. What weird, ugly little creatures.

The City in the Sky was my second favorite temple, with Arbiter's Grounds being the first. Plus, City in the Sky and Arbiter's Grounds had the best final bosses.

"Tool up, honey bunny. It's time to get bad guys."

city in the sky, was pretty bad. water temple it seemed bad at first but half way through it I realized it wasn't as bad as I expected. considering previous zelda games. yeti's house is another that seamed tough at first, but city in the sky, and twilight temple, are a masochist wet dream, IMO

and boy was I dreading it.

Well, I have to say it wasn't nearly as bad as I remembered. It wasn't fun, or without frustration, but I didn't have as much difficulty as I had the first time. The things that bothered me the most:

-When you're on those rectangular fan things and you're trying to clawshot to the next one. It doesn't work almost every time you try, and it gets frustrating after awhile. You almost have to go before it looks like you can.

-It's too easy to overlook the sphere you're supposed to clawshot after you get the big key, as you're lowering yourself into the main room. If you miss it, you're screwed. You've gotta go ALL THE WAY BACK to that same room and do it again. (unless there's something I don't know.) I know I did this the first time I played this temple too, but I didn't remember it before.

-The birds are frustrating, but once you get the hang of using the double clawshots faster, it's not a big deal.

-The wind blowing you off the side

For the most part, it's not any more frustrating than other difficult Legend of Zelda temples. The first two things I mentioned were the only things that really bothered me, and they're not even that bad.

i found this dungeon quite fun, although i got stuck near the end trying to figure out some last puzzle. kept backtracking to see if i missed anything and eventually went to a walkthrough. turns out i had to use the clawshot on the bell, which i didn't think to do since we've only been using them on those easyily marked "clawshot here!" targets XD

I used to be indecisive. Now, I'm not so sure.
