What do you think of the Midna character?

Just curious. Personally I think she's a nice contrast with Zelda, in terms of being radically different.

She was annoying, even more so than Navi. So often I just wished she would shut the hell up. I also thought that her backstory felt tacked on to give her character more depth, and she really didn't fit the part.

Best. Character. Ever.

Seriously, without question one of the most complex and likely influential creations of all time. The above poster didn't put a single word of truth into his post. You don't have to talk to her all that much if you don't push the button and skip cutscenes (not sure why you'd do that), and she's not saying "hey" every five seconds. Plus, she has an actual body.

Her backstory may have the typical flaws of all the Zelda characters (Link, Zelda, et. al almost if never have any parents), but looking back through the game it makes absolute sense given what happens. Her character alone makes TP an experience like no other, even if the game itself could otherwise be described as OOT with better graphics.

Seriously? She was supposed to be some sorceress princess and she acted like a child. And then the end is so melodramatic and I was just relieved that Link wouldn't have to deal with Midna's *beep* anymore. Sorry, I just can't take sarcastic anime cats very seriously. And sure, you can skip her ranting, but I've never been the kind of person who skips over parts of games or movies. I'd rather get the full experience, for better or worse. In my humble opinion, Tatl was the best companion in any Zelda game, and I think with Midna Nintendo was trying to emulate her character arc. But Tatl was just a kid and her motivation made sense: she was worried about her sister and felt betrayed by the skullkid.

Minda is my favorite character. She was funny, and had kind of a rouge-ish personality.

Dawg I've been comepleting video games since f ucking 89 baby, and Midna is probably the best characterI have ever seen in a video game..

I like Midna, she's definetely better than Navi.

In Ocarina of Time, whenever I'm trying to do stuff in between dungeons, Navi always nags me about going to the dungeon. Link should say to Navi "Navi, shut the [beep] up. I'll get to the dungeon when I'm good and ready."

Midna is better because she doesn't annoy me and she provided Link with that move where you can kill multiple enemies at once as a wolf (definetely comes in handy when dealing with those damn annoying Twilight Beasts). It was also cool the way Midna killed Zant , when she did that I was like "Holy [beep]! That was cool."

I wasn't annoyed at all. She was actually a great companion. I felt sad during the part where she gets hurt and you have to travel all the way to the castle to save her.

reply

She was alright. Kinda annoying... But kinda cool. I was glad that she left at the end. I don't hate her... Just don't like her as much as I liked Navi, Tatl or King of the Red Lions.

When I first started playing the game I really couldn't stand her, but by the end, Midna was my absolute favourite character! Just goes to show you how awesome of a character she was... and also how I have no life :P

reply

I thought she was pretty cool, especially once you got to hear her story.

I think she rocks.

I like Midna tons better than Navi in OoT and that other fairy from MM. What was its name? That game is so forgettable I can't even remember...

I love Midna, I too thought her character was funny, and sure some could say she was annoying but that was just part of her character from the beginning because she wanted to USE you to retrieve the Fused Shadows, but after when getting her to Zelda to save her life you learn to really like her and how she begins to trust you even more to tell you about her story.

Seriously, you can say I have no life, but I really am an up-and-coming manga-ka, comic book writer and artist, and filmmaker...aside from that, I really AM in love with Midna, sadly even when she's a virtual character and when you think it's Link who saves her all the way, it's truely you yourself the player who earns her devine heart...

Yeah, yeah, so I'm an artsy fartsy kind of dude, not wanting to be, just am I guess...

And since I do love her...I can only say, yeah I think she's got a great form of a body in the end of the game...but to tell you the truth I find her MUCH attractive as an Imp, don't ask me why..

I really like the Midna character, but not as much as residentevil1312 obviously. LOL!

Now come on, man, think about it!...Compare the thighs on fully grown Midna...to the thick sexy...edible...squishable killer thighs on Imp Midna...

I mean, sure, it's a small package...but all the more reason for it to have something big inside it.

When Ganondorf crushed the Fused Shadow she wears on her head, I was kind of surprised, in a good way. I think Midna dying to save Hyrule and protect Link would have worked well, when she just turned out to be alive it seemed really cliche and predictable. Just my opinion, but I think it would have worked better if she'd died. It'd serve her right anyway, the annoying little twat.

She was a bit annoying at first but I loved her. Never had a problem with Navi either *shrugs*.

Midna is what made this game so great. She is my favorite character from the series now. I even like her a little more than Zelda, now. I just beat the game less than an hour ago and Midna is really funny. She kept me laughing everytime. I love how she had your back during the entire game. I like her as both the Imp and in her full-grown human form. I wondered why they made Zelda take a back seat in this game, too. At first I thought it was because of Ilia, but it was really so Midna could form the strong bond between Link and herself.

"Metroid: Other M" is the best game (PERIOD)!

ok first time around,
but after that it's one of the most annoying.
