£11 for a music video?

I saw this in my local branch of Fopp yesterday, picked it up, read the back, put it down again, and came here to see what on earth it was.

I'm a little confused.

A DVD of a six-minute music video which (as it turns out) you can see on the internet for free anyway, a flimsy-looking book of pictures, taped up in a plastic bag (without even some durable packaging): and the price tag was £11.

Would you pay £11 for it? Is it worth it? HAVE you spent £11 on it and felt ripped off/pleased with your purchase? I'm a little at a loss to work out why it was priced at so much...

It costs that much because it's worth it, it's a unique work by two of modern culture's greatest.

If you don't believe it could be worth £11 to you then you're probably right and shouldn't buy it.

no, i wouldn't pay £11 for it-- i can see it free on YouTube.

I payed around £12 for it, and to be honest, yes, even though i love Chris Cunningham, i wanted to take it back. I thought this was a 30minute feature or somethingand was very very disappionted at the time when the credits rolled. I was just felt very cheated indeed.

Obviusly there was a lot of time and effort put into this package but it feels as though it was never meant to be a commercial product so why sell it for such a high price??? If it was simply a labour of love it shouldn't cost so much, it's a little ridiculous i guess. He should have given it away to people, maybe put it on a mail order only, directly from him. Or made it limited to 100 or something.

I never did take it back, i never do take things back, but this was the closest i'd ever been, simply because i was disappionted by how shallow the piece was. I was hoping for something invigerating like some of his videos.

The YouTube thing though. Yes, maybe you can see it on there, but this is a DVD, the quality is a ton times better.

I still look at this every now and then, i have only watched the film once though. I guess you've got to think of this as a package rather than a short film with some pictures to go with it. It's much more so that the pictures are as important as the film.

But yeah, the whole thing comes off a little on the shallow side which is a big shame.
