Way too similar to Black Dahlia!

Being that Nu Image produced both this and "Dahlia," it seems kinda apparent that the same props and sets may have been used. Can anyone say generic? But it has such an all-star cast! What's the deal? Yes, I know this is a true story and everything, but stylistically why is it so similar? Everything about it echoes "The Black Dahlia." I know this one was in production before (or during) "Dahlia," so I'm pretty much wondering if they did share any sets, props or costumes?

Actually,Millineum Films produced this and,no, it is not like The Black Dahlia.Lonely Hearts is about 2 people on a killing spree over several states with multiple victims(as many as 20).Lonely Hearts was also filmed in several states with principle shooting in Florida while The Black Dahlia was filmed primarily in California. The cast of Lonely Hearts is also from a wider spectrum of actors than The Black Dahlia, ranging from a character in the TV series "Dragnet" to a "Jurrasic Park" star to a mexican Telenovela star to a popular European actress to The Sopranos icon to John "Grease" Travolta.I was priveliged to work side-by-side with most of them as an extra in the movie. Director Todd Robinson was fnatastic and I hope to work with him again.

I have seen both and I've got to say they have barely anything in common except that they take place in the 40's and involve killers in their stories. DAHLIA was actually shot in Europe, while LONELY HEARTS used real Jacksonville locations. If they look alike to you (because they don't to me really) it is just a matter of coincidence.

What is similar - 40's, murder (much more murders in LH). That's all.

Too many passions and feelings in "Black Dahlia" which are unnesesary. Personages are not interesting at all.
"Lonely Heatrs" is much more private, romantic, repugnant and dramatic. Acting work is deep and convincing. No teenage blubbering.
