Did Ray plan on becoming a family man and leaving Martha?
He knew the lady was pregnant so did he plan on somehow getting rid of Martha?
I do think he was thinking of leaving Martha. I just think he hadn't worked out how he would do it.
He didn't anticipate that the woman would end up liking and trusting Martha so much that she would go against his advice and tell Martha everything. SO when Martha found out she had already poisoned the woman and he couldn't break that freaky psychological "bond" he and Martha had.
We get murdered before we leave the building, and I imagine we get fed to the pigs.
