What happened to the little girl?

I assume it wasn't a good fate for her. Did they ever address it? As far as I know, she just disappeared from the movie without any explanation.

She was in the tricycle box. Hence why det. Robinson was so upset when he opened it.

Martha drowned her. They showed Martha pulling her to her death.
