Its a bit funny you mention in how beautiful she is in this movie. I actually haven't seen the movie but i read a lot about the true crime story.
Now the original Martha Beck was an disperatley lonely overweight and unactractive woman, her desire to keep her man drove her to participate to the murders. Now I really want to watch this in order to understand how a beautiful actress like Salma Hayek could pull this off.
