Wrong intonation

In so many movies and even computer games and such, actors and voice actors just intonate things wrong.

I don't get it, can't the director correct it? Don't they have any sense? Don't they know the story? What's going on?

Listen to how Master Oogway intonates '..not only bring peace to the valley, but also to you'.

Does that sound correct to ANYONE? He emphasizes PEACE, when he should be emphasizing VALLEY.

Am I completely wrong and don't understand english or intonations AT ALL, or are these people intonating wrong and no one cares?

Think how much better and correct it would sound if he had emphasized VALLEY.

"..not only bring peace to the VALLEY, but also to YOU"

Now it is in harmony, now it almost 'rhymes', tonally speaking (no pun intended).

There are two things the Dragon Warrior will bring peace to; VALLEY and YOU. Both should be emphasized equally. Instead, he emphasizes PEACE, implying he's going to bring something ELSE as well, in addition to PEACE, but then suddenly he changes it "to you" instead of some other thing he should've talked about if he's going to intonate "PEACE".

Many other movies do this too; listen to Cypher in 'The Matrix', when he explains how the image translators work FOR the construct program, but there's too much information to blah.

He should emphasize 'CONSTRUCT' instead of 'FOR'. Then it would make sense. But I guess Joey Pants didn't quite understand his role, his character, or what the character was supposed to be explaining. It's as if he's explaining that the translators work FOR the program instead of AGAINST it, but that wasn't the point at all. The point was that they work ONLY for the 'CONSTRUCT'-program, but they do not work for The Matrix.

Had he intonated 'Construct', it would've made actual sense. Now it's just frustratingly stupid and obvious that the actor didn't understand what he was saying as Cypher.

There are other movies and video game examples, but I am DRAWING a blank now. (See how wrong it sounds when I emphasize THE wrong word?)
