okay first a few things to admit
-i only torrented this movie to watch because natalie portman was in it :D
-i only understood one language used in the film; english
-im not dumb. i culd understand the gestures and expressions of the characters but since i dont understand hewbrew or arabic or the other languages they used in the movie it was quite hard for me to understand much of anything
-and because i did not understand much of it. i dislike it.

so im not here to bash.....i can see tonnes of flaming has already been done here.

i just gotta ask a few things:

lol....okay if u have the time: what...really happened??? :S

what and why did any of you actually like about this film?

i just wanna know what this movie is about and how it actually got a 6.4 on IMDB!!!

SERIOUS? about the subtitles.

i torrented this movie. no subtitles for sum reason. wow i missed out :(

well i bit torrented it. its a different type of downloading. much like limewire. basically i got the movie ILLegally. the file was basically labelled Free.Zone.2005.DVDrip.

I came to this thread interested in conductor 7-1's other comments ([s]he's such an intelligent writer, I had to read more).

Even in this minor, rather wildly disparate exchange, I have to admit, I enjoyed the writing.

Especially "balla ama": such levels of cluelessness (and I don't mean that at all unkindly; rather affectionately, I should say) gives one occasion to ponder the possibility that these postings are a kind of deeply committed performance art.

You should know, my pirating friend, that subtitle files are very probably available, very probably in the torrent you so cheerfully admit to illegally downloading; if not there, google under "Freezone subtitle" or "Freezone filetype:srt".

first find out wut torrents are. second link me one of free zone that is subbed. douchebag. then start talking.

That has to be the funniest exchange I have ever read. You first admit to loving his style, eloquence, honesty, etc, then he flips you off? Strange people indeed. I just wish I could see Freezone, the only torrent I can find is freaking French, and you can't buy it here in Australia.

Natalie, forgive me, the one film of yours I have yet to see!

dont worry...you are not missing much!! Natalie is my favorite actress so that is why I bought Free Zone but it was not good at all. I mean, she is amazing all the time...but the movie itself is just bad. Not even she can make this work and that should say something about the movie! :)

Yeah, I finally found an english torrent, so I got to see it. I have to admit, I didn't hate it, I thought it was a nice little indie film with a bit of meaning, but it failed on most of the levels it tried to suceed at. Shame. The editing was painful, and even Natalie, who was half of the time transparent, couldn't save it.

If she had seen the end result chances are I don't think she would have done it, I mean the script seemed decent... but that's as far as it went.
