The Specialty of the House Redux

The chairman tried hard to stop smirking, but it was difficult. No matter who won, this was his day of triumph at last.

He faced Iron Chef Bobby Flay and, back for a rematch, Chef Amanda Freitag.

"The secret ingredient is lamb!" he cried, smiling broadly, as the cover on the altar was raised. It didn't really look like a lamb, but the chefs cut off pieces of the carcass and ran to their kitchens.

As the chefs and their sous-chefs, including Bobby's frequent sous-chef Anne Burrell, labored, the chairman watched with Glee, especially when Bobby produced a dish with pineapple and banana, garnished with an orchid. How apropos, he mused.

Finally the dishes were presented to the judges. The chairman abstained from tasting, pleading queasiness due to a possible stomach flu.

"This doesn't taste like any lamb I've ever had," guest judge Marcel Vigneron said. "But it's quite tasty."

"Just a little tough, however," said guest judge Sarah Jessica Parker.

"Beautiful garnish," said guest judge Kate Upton, picking up the orchid and placing it behind her ear. She couldn't wait to see Justin Verlander after he finished pitching to the Yankees. She was definitely looking forward to their date. . .

"The judges have made their decisions, and the winner is Iron Chef Bobby Flay!"

Bobby and Amanda hugged. He had won by one point in the category of plating.

Chairman Wo Fat smiled. He was finally rid of that pesky Steve McGarrett forever!

Boo Hoo! Let me wipe away the tears with my PLASTIC hand!--Lindsey McDonald (Angel)
