Too young actress
Why did they choose Tracy Nelson to the role of Michael's mother? She is too young, in the movie she looked like his older sister!
shareYou are right that they do not look like mother and son but, actually, Tracy Nelson was 42 when this movie was released, certainly old enough to have a 17-yr.-old child. Hard to believe, since she is in fantastic shape! I would argue that the actor who plays her son, Christopher Jacot, 26 at the time of the films release, looks too mature to play a teenager.
shareNo, what you wrote is not correct. Tracy Nelson: born 25 October 1963, Christopher Jacot: born 30 June 1979. You see, there is only 16 years of difference between them. Not impossible (some women get pregnant at 16) but not very likely either. I still think they should have choosen an older actress.
shareastat, You are the one who is not correct. The math is right, but the character of Michael is supposed to be 17. Tracy was not too young, Christopher was far too old for the role. He looked every day of his real age of 26.
