DVD Released Today!

Well...the official DVD came out today!! Anyone got theirs yet? Is it worth buying for the audio commentary if you have already got the original BBC transmission? I'm considering it...

reply

I've got mine!
Couldn't believe it when I saw an advert for it! I've watched it loads of times already. Can't wait till the tour next year, I never thought it would come to Glasgow.
Do you think it's sad that I've had a red 'Satan' Suit tailor made for going to see it?

Not sure about the commentary, I haven't listened to it yet. The other extras are excellent though...

LOL Paul?!! I'm Tania from the David Bedella website - small world eh?!

I can't wait for the tour either - I've just booked front row seats for Milton Keynes! And no I don't think it's sad, like I said on the other message board, other people have done similar things...I think it's cute :) And believe me, if David does the tour, he'll think it's adorable!

You saw an advert for it?! Was there any of the cast on it? I'll have to look out...

Believe me it is absolutely amazing on stage! So much better than the DVD...I'm a bit miffed though that when I discover it, they decide to shut it down! If I had known about it before it closed, I would have had the chance to see it more. I went on the 12th Feb - the week before it closed, and David Bedella was b.loody ill! I was SO annoyed!

JSTO has the most irritating DVD commentary I've ever heard. Richard Thomas needs to shut up - his interruptions while Stewart Lee is trying to actually talk about the show are really boring.

Aliens? Us!? Is this one of your Earth "jokes"?

reply

I agree, the commentary isnt very good.

There are some good bits, yes, but things like farting on the comentary, making sounds of drinking, getting a phone call and actually taking it on commentary, and bits where they just talk about random things like what theyre having for lunch spoiled it.

Was funny when they said they'd got a call saying they can definately not take the show on tour in the UK...

...especially as I now have my ticket for the UK Tour when it stops in Manchester in March ;)

Nah, it's a good commentary. Very casual and friendly I think.

Can You buy this DVD in America and if so where can I get it?

My friend (who saw it in London)burned me the sound track and I love it. Since it's probably not coming to America, I would really like to at least see it on DVD.
