Is there a translation of the script available anywhere? I sent the first part of Kaamelott to a Dutch friend who will certainly love it, but his French, though good, might not be completely up to the task, and there are no subtitles on the dvd... But I noticed that fairly large chunks are translated here... so who did that, just a poster out of the goodness of his heart, or is there an English translation out there that my friend could get to help him out?
So far no English translation, but I think there is talk of doing a British version of the show (an adaptation with different actors, not a dubbed or translated version). So there is hope...
I made a translated transcript of one of the early episodes for research purpose (it's season 1 ep. 3 I think, when Breccan finishes the Round Table and presents it to everyone). Would you like to read it? it's not official or copyrighted or anything (although it is to be published as part of an essay), just my very personal take on the thing.
Oh.... too bad about the adaptation, I'm not sure it'll work quite the same with different actors...

Season 1, episode 3: “Breccan’s table.”
Leodagan: What’s that new whim of yours, a table?
Perceval: We already have one in the dining-room.
Arthur: This one is a round table, for all of Britain’s knights to gather. Better get used to it, ‘cause from now one, we’ll be the Knights of the Round Table.
Perceval: Huh? Knights of the Round table?
Leodagan: Good thing for us you didn’t order a Walk-In Closet.
Arthur: I like it, it’s just… I was expecting stone.
Breccan: How was I supposed to carry a stone that size up a spiral staircase?
Bohort: There’s something to be said for wood.
Breccan: And it’s quality stuff. Even with 5 or 6 ladies dancing on it during a banquet, won’t move an inch.
Arthur: It’s not what we do.
Breccan: Whatever you say.
Perceval: It’s not so much the wood as the leather.
Caradoc: Looks like a workshop.
Arthur: True, true.
Breccan: Leather will always be leather. It’s here to stay. Especially that one: no rotten cowhide, no sir, only top quality.
Perceval: It’ll take some getting used to.
Breccan: Just be careful when you eat. It’s not gravy-proof.
Arthur: We won’t be eating on it.
Breccan: Whatever you say.
Blaise: It’s the perfect height for writing!
Arthur: Too bad you won’t be writing on it. You’ll be standing behind that pulpit.
Blaise: We’ve got a table and plenty of chairs and I’m supposed to stand during all the meetings?
Arthur: Nobody writes on this table.
Breccan: No eating, no writing, no dancing… What do you need the table for?
Arthur: It’s … complicated.
Bohort: Our Lord Arthur has been granted a revelation. The Lady of the Lake has ordered that a legendary Table be built for all of Britain’s knights to gather and unite in the Quest for the Holy Grail!
Arthur: Yup.
Leodagan: Basically.
Breccan: Cool… the Grail, the Quest…
Caradoc: It’s complicated.
Perceval: Even we don’t get all of it.
Breccan: So… It’s going to be some classy gathering.
Arthur: I guess so.
Bohort: The Island’s most powerful lords.
Arthur: And also some more humble knights.
Leodagan: Socially mixed.
Breccan: But still, mostly elite, right?
Perceval: You bet. No hillbillies on the Quest. Unless we’ve changed that?
Breccan: You don’t mind my signing the table, do you?
Arthur: Why would you do that?
Breccan: Advertisement! If one of those clan-chiefs sits his ass at that table and likes it, he’ll know who to ask for his next bed or wardrobe!
Arthur: A signature? It’s gonna be mighty ugly!
Breccan: A tiny one. Ten minutes… Five minutes.
Breccan: There you go. Breccan and Sons, Inc., Ireland. Hope it brings us some business.
Arthur: Sure.
Breccan: Anything else? A weapon-rack, some coat-hangers…?
Arthur: They don’t have coats, they wear full-plate armor, and they’re not allowed to leave their swords.
Breccan: That’s a no-no then. What about your bedroom, you need anything for the lady?
Lady of the Lake (appearing out of nowhere): It’s soooooo beautiful!
Arthur: There you are. What do you think?
Breccan: What do I think of what?
Arthur: Not talking to you.
Breccan: Who else?
Lady of the Lake: I was expecting stone, but…
Arthur: Ah! See? Stone would’ve been better.
Breccan: Are you talking to me now?
Arthur: Who else?
Breccan: Look, stone was out of the question, I just delivered 400 dolmens in Winchester. Not to mention the spiral staircase.
Lady of the Lake: I sense that great things shall be set in motion around this table, Arthur.
Arthur: Yup. All I gotta do is gather the boys now. By the way, how do I go about the whole Grail thing? So far, they don’t get it at all.
Lady of the Lake: It shall all come in due time. Gotta run now, bye-bye. Congrats on the table. And be careful with the leather! Looks great, but it’s not gravy-proof.

But I'm afraid subtitles are unlikely, as I've heard the series was much more likely to be adapted in foreign languages, i.e shot anew with foreign actors (in great Britain, italy and Germany).

"Livre IV" DVDs have English subtitles included.
I know that "Livre I" and "Livre II" only have French subtitles, I'm not sure about "Livre III".
