Guy playing Beatles-song on piano

In one sketch, a guy is transported back to the 50's. He befriends a family, and when they sing songs around the piano, he sings Let It Be (I think). I thought it was Ben Chaplin. Who is he?

His name is Tom Ellis. Also if you aren't aware that sketch is a parody of the show Life on Mars. Which you should watch because it's awesome.
