Do British people really dislike redheads 'gingers'?!

It seems a weird and pointless prejudice. Supposedly it's because Irish people are historically disliked in England.

No it's the Scotch they can't stand because they can't understand them. It is now a serious problem. The further North you go the more bias is displayed. Children are now being taught to despise them.

WTF? Please tell me you do not live in Britain and that your really are just a div otherwise you may need an operation on the brain or something.
Some people are ridiculous, whether they are being sarcastic or not.

Yep, as a ginger person I can say we are very much disliked in Britain. Bullying and/or mocking ginger people is not taken seriously either, so nothing is done about it.

We haven't been rounded into camps yet though. ;)

Was that sarcasm or genuine stupidity?

reply

Yes, :(, we constantly mocked and ridiculed, and nobody cares. we seem to be the only minority it's ok to openly despise and make fun of

reply

It's hilarious BECAUSE you AREN'T a minority. Anyone who tries to claim they are is crazy.

Besides, haven't you heard? Gingers will eat your soul. Ask Cartman.

Chase: Wow. Yeah, I get it. House is adorable. I just want to hold him and never let go.

It wont be long though jacksparrow,i hear they are already starting to put some of you in exclusion zones in norfolk. It wont be long before you're all rounded up. :) :)

reply

Jesus you really need a lobotomy or something.
Is that really a serious question?
Irish people arent disliked either, thats just some uneducated view of people from dimwitted countries who have no idea.

reply

Ginger people are targeted at school because they stand out. Children will pick on anyone who is different. I remember teachers who would shout 'ginger nut' at kids who had red hair, if they didn't know their name.
Duracell, ginger nut, copper knob, ginger (pronounced as in singer), match head etc. were all terms directed at redheads. Kids are nasty.

Fat kids get it, kids with glasses get it, kids with braces, kids with acne, thick kids, clever kids, black kids...

There's the picture.

Catherine Tate took the whole thing to a ridiculous extreme and it was funny.

It's a shame that redheads are singled out in this way but I feel a lot of it in the media and that dished out by mature adults is at least slightly tongue-in-cheek.
And as a red-blooded mature adult male I must confess to having a weakness for pale freckled ginger haired ladies. 😊
