Who do you think can play the next 'hot' villan?--opinions only!

Well... in my opinion I want Arjun Rampal to play... cause hes the next hottie next to john and hritik.

Rumor: Ranbir Kapoor might play the next villian. (GORGEOUS)

I think the whole idea with Jai and Ali chasing Don is pretty cool. Plus, Shahrukh Khan's interpretation of Don is so perfect, sometimes i think SRK could have been 007 instead of Daniel Craig. Shahrukh has that charismatic, urbane, and mercurial thing abt him and plus, he can act which he proves in Don. The only problem is that Don and Dhoom2 are executed in complete different styles so it would b pretty hard to mix them both.

SRK replace Daniel Craig? On what planet is Bond a scrawny 40+ man who has no sex appeal? We all know SRK can act, but honestly I wouldn't trust him to save the day. I'll take Daniel and his baby blues any day.

Oh P.S. The vilian should be sexy, just like in the Oceans' movies. I mean really the whole point of those movies is that we LOVE the villian. George Clooney, Brad Pitt and Matt Damon vs. John, Hrithik, and our next villian. Oh mama. Their theme should be an Indian version of Sexyback.

Okay, I get that you disagree with me, but that is no reason to call me a dumbass. I'm perfectly willing to hear you out, but insulting me right from the beginning is a little off putting.

Now to your actual post. You think SRK has charm? I don't know if you've seen the original Don, but charm is what Amitabh Bachchan oozes. SRK on the other hand plays the "Vijay" as somewhat dorky puppy that we're all supposed to love. I give him all the props in the world, he did a great job as Don. I mean it was the first time in a long time that I really enjoyed a Bollywood movie to the extent that I had nonIndian friends of mine watch it. But that does not mean that SRK has sex appeal. First off he is incredibly short. And I am willing to say this once more, he his scrawny. Stand him next to Hrithik Roshan or even Uday Chopra (who is also short, but has a body). SRK is lean, but not built. And Bond needs to be built. If SRK were to play bond, he would be the first to have rely soley on his intellect. When Don was fighting the white guy on the plane I actually laughed out loud because it appeared so absurd and set up. Anyway everyone is entitled to his or her own opinion, and I personally don't find him attractive, especially as a savior. I think I'll go watch Duplicate again since he plays Babalu so well.

well i dont agree with what your saying about him having no charm whateva...i think he's a brilliant actor full stop.
but i do agree that i dont think he would fit the Bond character very well....Hrithik on the other hand would make a excellent Bond

SRK is sexy!!! Plus, Bond IS supposed to be in his late 30's early 40's.

reply

SRK as James Bond? LMAO!! Sorry couldn't hold my laughter, we all know he's a great actor in emotional and romantic movies, but he totally fails as a action, stylish, sexy hero/villain. Even he wasn't praised for Don by all type of audience, no wonder why Don series hasn't been a big success domestically.
The only actor who comes in my mind to portray James Bond from Bollywood in terms of looks, physique, acting skills, and charisma is Hrithik Roshan, lets face it, he has proven with Dhoom 2 that he's the most suited for these kind of roles. Not undermining SRK though.

Marathi_Pride, a truly despicable villain wouldn't fit the kind of movie that Dhoom/D2 are. Unless for D3 they go for a much more darker, mature tone with more realistic characters. Naturally, that's not likely to happen.

Maybe after DON2, they could make a cross-over movie where Jai Dixit has to face his greatest challenge... trying to bring down and bring to justice the infamous Don... That could be cool if they approach it right. We could have a heart-wrenching moment when Jai's long time sidekick and best friend Ali gets brutally killed by the merciless Don, only for the scene to get a standing ovation and cheering at every screening of the movie... LOL

Back on topic though, what about Saif Ali Khan? Or Ajay Devgan? Akshay Kumar?

Maybe two of them? That could be a good new idea for the next sequel, two villains in place of one. With Uday Chopra's character still dying before the end, just to shake things up even more.

They could work out a clever ending that ties things up without compromising either franchise.

Something like the ending of The Usual Suspects, so Jai Dixit nabs the bad guy, a bad guy, but he's not sure if it's really Don or a copycat or something. Then we the audience question whether it was set in the same universe of DON or not.

Back on topic, I think Sunjay Dutt could make a cool villain if he went all out instead of making it the least bit comic. Maybe pairing him with someone younger like Saif Ali Khan or, dare I say it Shahid Kapoor, that could be cool.

I think a change of setting would be good for the next movie. How about setting it mostly in a village with the duo having to help some villagers? They could it make the real homage to the original Sholay.

And Uday Chopra could do his part by repeating the memorable death scene from the classic.

I read somewhere that Ranbir Kapoor, Rishi's son, a young actor who is going to have his breakthrough this year thanks to Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Dostoevsky inspired SAAWARIYA, is tipped to be the next villain in DHOM series. By the way, his partner in SAAWARIYA will be Sonam Kapoor, who is also rumored to appear in Dhom 3.

reply

hmmm Saawariya...wonder if that'll be any good...

yea i heard about Sonam Kapoor

Sanjay Dutt should be the villain in Dhoom 3 hes the most stylish indian actor there is and is a dynamite actor. they should get aditya chopra to direct it not that clown sanjay ghadvi.

reply

Sanjay Dutt?!?!?! no way!

Getting back to Danial Craig's "baby blue eyes", I think he did an excellent job at bringing something different to the James Bond character. But Im not sure about his talent to charm. He was kind of rude actually. Thats what made him different, he wasn't charming at all and it worked for him. But Srk is one of the most charming people playing any character from Bablu to Don, he brings it. And SRK is maybe short, but he makes up by oozing sexyness and charm. For some gals that's more important than pecks flying at your face. Danial Craig has very bright blue eyes, but I get distracted by his annoying curled up lips.

reply

if D3 ever come the villian should be someone with the fisic of Arjun Rampal, tall, strong and sexy. And the movie would need better director and action coreographer.

reply

Arjun has a nice bod but dead eyes.. and the charm and charisma of a tree. If Miss Aish is in the film then that might work.
