The soccer balls used in this film

In the 1970's soccer ( football for those outside the USA ) was extremely popular. I'm a collector of a very specific type of soccer ball made and used around the time this movie was portrayed. The soccer balls I'm referring too are the molded ( or fully molded ) vinyl-leather type, that look like rubber soccer balls. I think I was contacted by someone behind the making of this film, and asked if I could lend them the only vinyl covered soccer ball I had for a film they were making. I replied back saying that the ball does not hold air. I have ( and continue to ) search for more of these old soccer balls, and they had contacted me through a wanted listing I had up on Craigslist.


I'm curious to know, if the the High Schools used these molded vinyl soccer balls only as practice balls, or did they get used as often as the stitched balls in Tournament / Championship match ups?


Unfortunately, I only have one of these soccer balls, and wish to find a few more before they are all thrown away. If you don't know what i'm talking about, never mind, but if you do know what I'm talking about, I'd like to hear from you, especially if you played or coached in the 1970s, early 1980s. I'd also like to know where i could get a ball or two from, if anyone still has them.
